Changes in current version and beta releases of Comwin.
Official Version 3.30,
build date: 12-June-2002.
Bugs in the way the licence text is displayed, when the software is first installed, upgraded, or re-displayed on request, have now been fixed.
A new User Add-ins window has been added to the Add-ins menu. Selecting one of the file names displayed in this window, and clicking the Run button, causes the program associated with the selected file to run. If you run the system in "Professional mode", you can add new file names to this window. They can either be typed directly, or you can open a browse window to search for the file names on your hard disk or network. The added file name can be a .exe file, or any file type with which windows associates a registered program, e.g. a Word document, an Excel file, or an Access database that extends the standard Comwin functionality
In the registration window red asterisks have been added to the right side of the fields that are required. If you only type one or two letters into a mandatory field, a msgbox comes up telling to enter your full name etc. because otherwise the registration code could not be calculated.
The discount texts have been changed and it is now possible to update them. The date field now defaults to today's date.
Comwin address book. There is a new sample mdb, called Comwin address book, that can be launched from User Add-ins. It demonstrates how you can easily extend the functionality of Comwin with your own programs and search or update the Comwin tables.
A reset function has been added to the System tools menu, to allow the user to reset certain values, such as default size and position for all windows.
Beta Version 3.31,
build date: 28-December-2002.
Some problems with the installation program for Comwin 3.30 have been fixed. These made it impossible to view the Licence agreement on certain older versions of Windows
The article quantities program has been changed to make it easier to add records for newly defined articles.
Forecasts for non-existent week numbers, like 200253 and 200254, were generated by a bug in a forecasting routine, for articles with weekly statistical periods. The bug has been fixed and the wrong week numbers deleted from the demonstration data.
